More settlements than ever before applied for this year’s contest, and as per the jury’s decision five settlements were awarded grand prizes; Veszprém received it in the category of towns with over 50,000 citizens, and Balatonfüred in the category under 50,000 citizens.
As a grand prize winner, Veszprém was offered the opportunity to take part in European Flowery Cities competition (Ententa Florale) in 2018.
he Flowery Hungary is a great initiative that offers an opportunity for any settlements to demonstrate the strength of their local cooperation, and in addition to beautifying their surroundings, it can help with creating local values and building communities.
